The Suncoast Grady-White Club kicked off their spring boating season with a cruise to the Crow’s Nest Restaurant in Venice, Florida.  Club members from 14 boats (38 people) headed to Venice for lunch.
Rex and Teresa Nelson on their Grady-White 330 Express hailing from Palmetto, FL were the trip leaders. The day was perfect for an outside passage on the Gulf. Everyone met in Sarasota and the flotilla set their coordinates heading out Big Pass to the Gulf of Mexico and then south to Venice.
Accompanying the fleet were schools of dolphins and other large fish, which made the day even more special.  All involved enjoyed the beautiful Florida day, where food, fun and fellowship were shared.
The lunch time topic of discussion was planning for the Key West trip, May 4-10 where 13 boats have already signed up for the multi-day excursion. Terry Griffen will be the trip leader for the cruise.  A thunderous round of applause went out to Terry for all his work on coordinating this upcoming fabulous trip.
After all boaters were dined and the group photo taken, the Suncoasters hopped back aboard their Grady’s for a pleasant return trip home.  Friends were made, relationships deepened and all celebrated the perfect boating day within the Florida waters.
